Pinstripe seems more in line with your profession, but I'm a sucker for plaid. I'd go with POW just to shake things up a bit.

The two navy suits you currently own, are they both solid?

Yea both of my navy's are solid and in slightly different shades. Agreed, pinstripes are a dime a dozen but pow's are a sight for sore eyes

Unless you wear a loud pinstripe, no one is gonna comment on a navy or grey SB pinstripe suit on an analyst/associate. POW may raise an eyebrow here or there. Depending on what your atmosphere is like, you may get a few comments on a DB or get laughed off the floor. I haven't seen a DB in my office in well....ever...actually no, a board member had one on...but he's damn near 70.

I like to fancy up these plainer suits with windowpane or gingham shirts, slightly more colorful ties and a pocket square.
