I feel like I got a pretty great deal on these from the Clark's store in Orlando, FL. I got both of these, some suede protector, and a suede brush and eraser for $135 out the door.

What do you think?

I just assumed they would be comfy in the summer - isn't that why they're called desert boots?

Anyway, how versatile are these? I work in an office and my usual attire is wool slacks and button down shirts. Will these work or will I need to use these for more dressed down occasions (khakis and jeans)?

I don't live in Florida, but I've never minded desert boots in the summer. It's not like I'm standing around thinking my ankles are hot.

Thanks for the tip - I have no style. . .

Could someone link a picture of a good use of desert boots to give me an idea?

I like them. I don't live in Florida but I do wear chukkas in the summer on occasion.

I actually went in for the sand suede only. As I was paying, the clerk said "would you like some brown leather DBs for only $30 something bucks?"

Of course I bit, and two days later the brown leather ones showed up on my doorstep from Atlanta. I'm pretty happy because I actually like the brown leather ones better than the sand suede I originally went to purchase!
