Not that any of you will be in San Juan any time soon, but I thought I'd give a shoutout to this company. Web site is kinda crappy, but I had a pair of ff, slim fit navy trousers made by them in a nice 9 oz cashmere/wool blend. I was really really happy, and am now thinking about taking the plunge and doing a suit in this georgous POW H&S cloth they have. Similar to Chan in that he sends it to Hong Kong to have it done, although I don't think he does road shows. His proces are great because he keeps his margin at 17 percent, which I find incredibly fair.

Do they produce a full canvas garment or is it fused? From looking at their website they appear to look as if they can cut a nice garment.

Fully canvassed. It is the same deal as Chan, only with apparently lower overhead. One thing, I think it was Manton once said that generally Indian -owned shops don't have access to the better Hong Kong tailors. In this case, based on the trousers I had made, I don't think that holds true.

What's really cool about this guy is he gave me a curry leaf plant out of his garden as well for when I cook Indian food.

Why is there no Spanish language option on the website? Is theirs an entirely Anglophone clientele? Or is there more prestige in an English-only website?

It's a prestige thing. In Puerto Rico, at least, it's very, as we say, comemierda, to be a white English speaker. There are stories of people who used to subscribe to the English language daily who couldn't even read English. They just wanted that paper box out front of their house because it automatically, in their eyes, bumped them up into a higher social class. BTW; You gotta love this line from the FAQ: "Do I need custom made clothing?" \t "Of course you do,. . ."
