I like Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, Diane Arbus, and Nan Goldin.

However August Sander captured Imperial, and Weimar Germany quite well.

I dunno Norcal. I am waiting for his and the dogs head to pop off and bounce around or the dog to morph into a duck with a hat, ... I guess its what I am used to from you

I find her work to bear resemblances to Newton's however it is less deprave, and dark. There is almost a sense of whimsy one could say with a play on the brothel settings, etc.

It seems to me that the apparent mood of Newton cannot be equalled considering his past which translates into his work of sado-masochism, decadence, and such. Rather reminiscent of Liliana Cavani's "The Night Porter."

Her work just doesn't to have that edge.
