Any pics where you see more of the table and less of the FAMs? Beautifull shoes btw.

Thanks. I might catch flack for the 'common' lamp that is on it now but I'm still looking for the right sculpture. Each table is slightly different so you can pick from the store's stock for the pattern and coloration you like.

Wow. How big is that thing, and is it solid butcher block? It must weigh a ton.

Only the sides are solid; the top is about 2 inches thick. It fairly heavy but not too bad as it is 12 x 12 x 18" overall.

The Ripple Chair in bright yellow

I personally do not feel that this is one of Arad's stronger designs. The overall shape and the molded grooves seem to make the chair too gimmicky.

From the same manufacturer, how about Patricia Urquiola's "Fjord" chair? It is substantially more expensive, admittedly, but is definitely fun and would "pop" in the way that you described:

Is that one of the Kartell lamps on the butcher block?

The butcher block wood grain might be good for a small island or even built in/constantly exposed cutting board for the kitchen. Next weekend I'm going to pick out the bathroom and kitchen stuff.

I hate the shell ones like pictured; but, at another store in SoHo they have them in reflective steel disks that I feel if I got the wall mounted ones it would look great against the brick.

    IamMatt,

I couldn't find that chair on UnicaHome.

Yes, the Bourgie clear. I would get it in black if I didn't need the maximum amount of light out of it.

It's from Christophe Pillet, edited by Cappellini. If you are looking for this sort of aesthetics, you can have a look at Artifort website: http://www.artifort.nl
Many nice, though arguably uncomfortable, chairs from Pierre Paulin and Patrick Norguet.

yes, exactly. Artifort is a good place to look for an interesting chair as Paulin's aesthetic was a bit off of mainstream. The newer pieces in their collection follow that route. The Pillet chair (Sunset) from Cappellini is extremely uncomfortable, but beautiful and fits in well in small places that others such as the Rive Droite, which in my mind is the ultimate stand alone chair when covered in Pucci, will not. The Fjord chair from Moroso is also outstanding in a similar way.

Ugh I want everything to be done so I can decorate and put all the finishing touches...until then to whet my appetite I bought a candlestick, 2 throw pillows, a hurricane and 6 faux cherry blossom branches.

I think Fornasetti's still pretty cool, good choice on those.
