The most uncomfortable chair I've ever sat upon may be the Barcelona chair as it is impossible to lounge in it for any period of time. Best used, as mentioned, in the lobby of a professional office where you'll only spend 15 minutes waiting for your appointment.

There is some validity to this, as I own one and have a couple at my office. IMO an ottoman, its ottoman, makes a big difference on the comfort of this chair.

When I sat in Le Corbusier's sofa and chair, they diidn't feel comfortable right off the bat.

Seems like I saw "The Proust Questionnaire" being sold at Pottery Barn.

What would you be doing while they filled out the questionnaire? I guess you could be cooking dinner, but I don't usually leave my guests unattended for long periods to do paperwork.

Please.. if that's really what you tell yourself...

Having a book with questionnaires? I remember getting **** like that from girls in mass e-mails who would send them to all their friends back when I was 12. How awkward would it be to arrive at someone's house, then while you're supposed to be entertaining them, they've got their face in a book? Maybe in your family it's normal, but the rest of civilization makes it customary that when people come to your house, they're there to see you and to have a conversation... not fill out a tedious book.

25 questions that could an answered in a few words.

Curious as to what the publisher's intent was then making the book with 200 pages of the same questionaire over and over.

Have you considered that you are more bitter and cattier than half the queens in Chelsea?

I don't trust books sold at Saks.

Not even the 50ish pound NFL book that for $40,000 gets the signed copy by Hall of Famers and a photoshoot with some renowned sports photographer?

Amazing.

There are paintings at the National Gallery of art that are perfect examples of this. I'd like to ask the curator if I could borrow one of these canvasses so that I can actually paint something on it.
