My life has just gone to hell

yes, my life is now officially terrible. my own flesh and blood sister, the one I've tried so hard to instill a good sense of musical taste, has started watching american idol. it's like a parasite...we went to my stepsister's house and she watches it every week without fail, and my sister (to keep up with her preteen friends) has started watching it now. I walked in the other day after school and someone was covering this love by maroon 5, I swear to god, I almost puked right then and there...it's the epitome of what's wrong with music, it's cheap, mass marketed and produced and packaged so that not only are the songs unbearable to listen to, they destroy any shred of musical decency the originals ever had (not that maroon 5 actually had musical talent)...anyways, that is my rant against american idol and everything it stands for.
