This is my long inverted triangle face and long neck. My questions are:

1. Do these AO Original Pilot sunglasses in 52mm suit my face? They are the same as in Apocalypse Now, a square version of aviator sunglasses. I have trouble finding narrow enough sunglasses in the malls. Should I go with the Ray Ban classic style instead?

2. Should I stick with spread and semi-spread collars?

3. Should I avoid V-neck sweaters and stick with crew necks?

Thanks
Frankie

It sounds like you have some sort of complex about your face, but you look completely normal to me.

I agree that your face is, if anything, an inverted triangle shape, but it might not be as extreme as you see it. I would think even standard collars might work, but, yeah, wider will be better. Avoid really long points.

I'm not loving the shape of the glasses. The width seems OK, but something about the straight line on top and the semi-angular bottoms might be emphasizing the things you seem to want to de-emphasize. But they're fine, really.

BTW I've been wearing these sunglasses lately and like them. But I felt a bit different in an ocean of wraparound designer sunglasses. Are the "flight goggle 58" too old fashion? I only paid $40 (plus UPS) and they are distortion-free and color correct. It's just that they are flat like Wayfarer. I tried wearing $40 wraparound sunglasses but the distortion makes me dizzy.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
