My wife made me this pocket square in cotton. It is her first attempt, but rather nice I think.

Next up are these three cottons:

After this, I hope she will agree to do some linen and silk ones as well

I tried this myself a while ago. It's painstaking, but quite relaxing. Maybe you should have a go!

Nice. I'm wondering whether I ought to keep a look out for nice bits of fabric. I suspect if I have a go myself, my wife might take pity on me and finish it off

The handwork looks superb! I often have my bespoke tailor hem pieces of interesting cloth which I happened to find somewhere as a pocket square. I assume earing a square made by your wife is a far greater (and: cheaper) pleasure!

I dropped by a bridal boutique a while ago and picked up a bunch of silk bolt ends ridiculously cheap, which I've given to a tailor to see what he can do with.

I'm proud to say that another SF member occasionally sports a "California Dreamer original" square. Hopefully he's not too embarrassed to wear such a thing in public.

FWIW, according to an online size conversion chart that I used earlier, 30 centimeters is 12 ½ inches, making your 30 X 30 centimeter pocket squares 12 ½ X 12 ½ inches, gusvs.

Very nice fabrics. This inspired me to try and make my own PS.

+1

I'd love to see a close-up of the needlework. What kind of thread did she use?
