I want to change my hair "style" cos at the moment it just grows outwards in all directions. I get a 5 ontop and a 2 around the back and sides.... I know, nothing special but I want to change. I want something like this

But you see his, at the sides its flat... mine doesnt go flat lol. I can only get itr flat by putting lots of gel but then it goes slick type of thing...... when I gel the hair at the top to spike, it just falls back down. The only part that stays spiked is at the top center of my head I have a crown there and its naturally spiked. I have a round face and 2 cows licks at the front. z0mg I hate it. If I grow my hair abit longer will my hair style change and allow me to create more of a look?

Dude, I have the exact same problems you have. I thought I was the only one in this boat. Is your hair also very straight and fairly thick? My hair will not hold any sort of gel on top unless I absolutely lather it in strong-holding pomade or gel or paste -- at which point is looks crisp, greasy, or just downright gross. Meanwhile, I have to basically shellack the sides of my hair into place, or I get a puffball look going on at the sides. There is basically no way to win. Recently I discovered that folks like us need to give up on medium-length hair. Either keep it very short or grow it out to **** Bieber length. I have opted for the latter, and women actually really dig it. Plus, I am pretty enough to make it work. <3 Not sure what your aesthetic situation is like, bra, but if you can rock the prettyboy pseudo-lesbian style, I say rock it. Some two-day scruff helps add an element of masculine edge back to the look, too. If you're going to insist on the fauxhawk, my advice is to try gelling/pasting the sides of your hair forward instead of down or back. I used to get better results that way in my fauxhawk days. Trying to slick it back just looks weird and incongruent with the rest of the look. It's also too far against the grain of growth, forcing you to use that much more product just to maintain the hold.

Wow, someone who can relate to me! lol you my hair is like puffed out at the sides, I know what your saying, once ive grown it alittle I can gel the sides forward and downish. I guess ill just go another few weeks of having the same type of hair as gimso from the gremlins lolz

Having it short isnt an option anymore, I have no character, im going to get both my ears peirced too with some of these babies http://www.mensjewellery.tv/wp-conte...d-earrings.jpg

I cant stand being plain anymore lol

curely? didnt you read anything I posted in my first post? My hair is the exact opposite from curely lol. Get a cat and then introduce its tail to a plug socket. Thats what my hair is like when I get out the shower after drying it, its all frizzy like.

If your hair is frizzy on the sides then stop cutting it at a 2. Go longer. I have straight thin hair and the best way for me to keep it down on the sides is to grow it out.
