Hello all, im from uk and just bought these jeans (denim), and the material stinks of cat pee, its not the first time ive bought gstar jeans and this was the case. I just want to know if anyone else finds this a problem with any gstar jeans they may have bought where the denim just doesnt smell nice at all. I want to take them back but dont have my receipt, the smell is overpowering and i refuse to wear them, although they didnt smell like that at first, and no i dont have a cat. It might no be cat pee, i just think it smells like that. I dont want to be stuck with a pair of 85 pound jeans that smell horrible and as said this is not the first pair that smell like that. this is the pair of jeans (denim) i mean http://www.planet-sports.de/images/p..._denim_raw.jpg

After I soaked my raw KMW's the water looked like piss and my jeans smelt like piss more or less, I rinsed and rinsed, but couldnt stand it and ended up putting them in the wash machine 3 times in a row with detergent to get the smell out. Have you tried machine washing them?

Maybe it really WAS piss. Pre-soaked.

Urea is the solvent for indigo. If I had to guess, the smell is probably a byproduct of the dyeing process.
