My first MTM shirt is cut wider on the lower back, is this normal?

Hi,

My shirt is measured much wider at the lower back side - only on the back side, is this normal? What could be the reason for that? My tailor says this is how it supposed to be, but i don't really have love handles or anything. I am 6.5, 195lbs, fairly thin and little muscular on top. See attached photos - when laying flat.
