you created a thread, included "diy" in the thread and just posted 2 pics???? My idea of a DIY thread includes information, tips, advice, on how others could recreate a product and/or idea. You did a great job though

OK. The first thing is to find the leather. Horween Navy Cordovan is not easy to get. It look much better than Black Cordovan.
Then draw the pattern, make a mock up with other leather. Practice with your saddle stitch, it has to be nice and even.
adjust the pattern. Then start to make the real case.
If you want to get a nice round "corner", use a right size gouge.
sand the edge with sand paper until smooth and paint the edge dressing, sand it and paint it, again and again.
Do it slowly and with patience, that is my suggestion.

Thanks! That was really helpful. I was thinking of making a case like this for ipad. I have a sheet of Horween Chromexel Leather and after seeing this, I think ill finally get around to making it.

I have made an iphone case in natural CXL before. Mind you the leather is much softer than the cordovan, and the edge is not easy to seal. I don't know what colour your CXL is. You may ask other for suggestion.

Wonderful, A! Where's mine? JK. I need to get an iPhone first. Do you make them for $19 Nokias?
