My Crokett & Jones Frustration

I recently bought a size 8.5 Crockett & Jones Canterbury online. I could tell the craftmanship by the details and the leather, however, they just didnt fit. I normally wear size 9 (Loake) but these C&J were still too big for me. I thought i could get away with it by placing thick insoles in them but my left shoe still tend to slip off if i didnt lace my shoe super tight.

It might be more than a sizing problem cause if i have ordered a size 8 then my right shoe would be a bit small. Anyway the shoes have been worn and cant be returned. Do you guys have any solution?

How much does your foot slip? If slight, and not coming out of the heel cup, after several more wears, it might start to fit better as the sole starts to loosen up and flex. But if that doesn't work, you're selling shoes worn 5 or 10 times rather than once or twice. yah, maybe too big. For C&Js on the 337 last, I size down 1, (i.e. 10UK for 11US fit).

They're clearly too big and will most likely stretch more with wear. Sell them; take the loss.
