I have a pair of AE westgate in Brandy. I just never liked the color. So today I put some efforts to darken them up. Here are a few pictures of the results.

What do you think? Do you like them better than the orginal brandy color or you think I ruined them? Please cast your vote. Thanks.

    much, much better

I did the same thing a year ago

Actually, I was inspired and motivated by that thread. But I didn't use any dye this time. It was my first time playing this sota thing around, so I played safe. I only used cream (dark brown) and wax.

Considering there's no 'before' photo, what's the use of this poll?
Indeed. Your shoes look very lovely, but I cannot say if they look better or worse, as I don't know what they looked like before.

His Westgates original color is the orange shoe in this photo

p.s. the Clifton's to the left in the photo used to be Chestnut color before I antiqued them a darker brown

In that case, he did a bloody brilliant job. [IMG]

That 'brandy' Westgate looks like a particularly lurid orange-flavoured creme caramel I once had.
