    What a talent! They look great, but they would even look better if you made the tongue out of leather instead of cardboard.

    I think, you misunderstand the photograph.

    The tongue is the small bit (in the same leather as the uppers) that you see coming out of the shoe. The larger ‘cardboard’ bit is an adjustment to the last. A piece of leather has been attached to the last, to give the finished shoes a bit more room over the instep.

    The last has a bit of that 1930s/40s vintage aesthetic that is starting to influence G&G lasts and why they (and yours) are so beautiful.

    Very nice.

    But, can anyone explain this series of threads?

    I cant believe this guy is just a layman out there walking into shops and helping himself to tools to make a pair of shoes.

    I like the shape of these and the sole looks very refined.

    Also the color is perfect and is one of the most versatile I find.

    All in all very well done!!
