Are there any hidden/obvious stores/sales I should be checking out while in Vegas (I'm flying there this Friday)?

I'm looking for business attire, such as suits (~$500 range), ties (~$50 range), shoes (~$200), dress shirts (~$100) and maybe some of the cool cufflinks I've been drooling over here.

On my list list are the following stores:

- Saks Off 5th
- Designer Fashion Clearance
- Nordstrom Rack
- Marshalls
- TJ Maxx (Mission Center) (for those cufflinks--any other TJ Maxx stores I might get luckier at??)
- Neiman Marcus Last Call

Thanks guys!

That's funny. I'll be there friday night as well. It's the first time I've been back since I was 12. I wouldn't think that Vegas would be the place to get a great deal on much, but that's only a guess. I imagine if you blow $50,000 in a casino, they'd be happy to give you a RLPL suit or two.

The TJ Maxx stores in Vegas and the area (there's a Ross there too) suck. Only slightly decent thing I found was an Earnest Sewn jacket in a size 1.

In reality, Vegas isn't the best place for finding deals. Christmas '07 I went and found some killer deals. I found out it was because the store stopped carrying the products (Hermes and Etro cologne for $3 a bottle and Mulholland Bros leather golf bags for $99/ gun cases for $15.....etc) and they were in a hurry to clear out the inventory. Good luck, hope you find something postworthy!

Yea, you guys are pretty much confirming my suspicions. I don't have big bucks to blow at a casino, so anything they're prepared to give me for free I probably wouldn't want to wear.

And, Vegas being Vegas, I didn't think there would be the same sort of sales you'd find in a living/breathing city (no offence to any Vegasites). I recall getting some smoking deals in January last year, but come to think of it, I bought a tux (makes sense in Vegas to clear out) and some cheap Hugo Boss suits.

I take it you're not optimistic I'll find any of the cool cufflinks at TJ Maxx? Canada customs might look at me funny if I were to bring back a heavily discounted gun case instead.

Glad the car rental I reserved was cheap. I'll report back, but may not hit all the places given the consensus that it will likely suck.

Thanks!

- Saks Off 5th - worth it
- Designer Fashion Clearance - don't know what that is
- Nordstrom Rack - don't bother
- Marshalls - don't bother
- TJ Maxx (Mission Center) (for those cufflinks--any other TJ Maxx stores I might get luckier at??) - don't bother
- Neiman Marcus Last Call - this is all the way in Primm, unless you're going to be on the 15 don't bother

Hit the real Neiman Marcus, Saks and Nordstrom stores at Fashion Show cause their normal sales are still on; BB at Caesars might be worth a look or their factory store in the Premium Outlets near Charleston Blvd

I'm on a BBQ forum, and asked the same question. I heard RUB is a great BBQ place, inside Rio. So I will be there to check it out. Plus, I'd imagine anything in Wynn should be good.

As far as shopping, I'll likely only check out the Saks.

I thought Saks Off 5th was trash.

The NM Last Call is about a 40 minute drive away from the strip.
There's a Polo, Tod's and the other usual outlet suspects.
I think it's worthe the drive but I wouldn't make a great effort to go.

At the outlet mall north of the strip there's an Etro, Brooks, and Polo.
Past season Etro ties were going for $30 I think the last time I was there.

I've found that Vegas stores have the same sorts of sales you'd see in a "normal" city.
There's a lot of the Ed Hardy-ish crap but there's also plenty of decent stuff mixed in too.
