I realised I have a pair of shoes in this leather. They're Martegani and I bought them in 2009. They're still in good condition.

I was planning to get my first pair of museum calf shoes.

Planning to order a pair of longwing derbies in Ilcea Bourbon Museum Calf

I know Ilcea went through some problems sometime back. But how is the leather coming out of the factory now?
Is it recommend to go for it ?

Don't take this for granted but I think they are back and full throttle, I think JL is back using Ilcea (Radica) musuem calf. Although, as I say, I could be mistaken.

If my Lobb's have Ilcea, I would say it's amazing. Creases are very fine, feels tough and thick but after wearing it feels great. Also, comparing it vs the museum from Conceria Zonta, the one used in the Lobb's, the porous is very small. Which brand are you looking for that uses Ilcea?

I wanted a casual-ish longwing derby. And I was talking to sagara. They have Ilcea bourbon museum calf in stock.

Was thinking of getting that

Thse look nice. I think Vass also was using museum calf from Ilcea.
