When I was deciding where to purchase my tuxedo, "styleforum" was a big help. So I will pay it forward and provide info on this purchase.

Negotiated a price of approximately $550 dollars for the jacket, pants, shirt/buttons, bow tie and cummerbund.
Measured and paid a deposit and asked to return 3 days later. Will update this thread after the fitting.

Pros: Friendly, not pushy. Negotiated on price and materials without hassle. Decided on Midnight Blue wool, single breasted/single button, shawl collar. no vents.

Cons: Weren't able to fulfill my request for grosgrain facing or a standard bow tie.

Also, there was some confusion about the style of the pants and shirt. They were a little surprised I wanted the pants to be a high-waist fit worn with suspenders and I didn't want a wing collar on the shirt. Just make sure you know what you want and tell them. They speak English just fine!

    Pictures forthcoming. HTH

How finished was the garment (s)? Did they get the balance right?

The deal sounds very low cost, if it turns out well the shop should be a keeper.

Sorry all for not updating sooner. I wore it for the first time last night. and compared to what I saw other guys wearing, I was very pleased with the color, fit and finish.

I was going to ask for news today! Nice to see that you kept this thread in your mind, really appreciated.
I'm sorry, but you're not going to get love for this, however, that could be due to the poor photograph as it seems to be severely distorted. May I ask you for more photographs? Use this one as a reference. It will be unfair to give you any feedback based on that photograph.

The camera is telling lies - that is not "midnight blue". Why are you wearing odd trousers (which are too long) - you resemble the waiter.

Yes, I totally agree with your assesment. I have no Idea why the color looks so off in the photos or why the pants look so long. I was really concerned about the pants being too short once I got the suspenders adjusted properly!

I will update again with proper photos.

Pants can be shortened lickety-split, so don't lose sleep on that. Did you really want flap pockets though? And might you not wish to consider having the jacket slightly more tapered at the waist?

Dare I ask, why pocket flaps on the jacket?

EDIT: Posted this while comment above was posting.

To be honest, did not ask for besom. I suppose I could tuck them in or have them removed, and at the same time, have the jacket tapered slightly. What do you suggest?

    Thanks for your input.
