Has anyone here ever used Neiman Marcus's MTM program? Thoughts on price and quality? I'm thinking of purchasing an Armani suit through it, but it's expensive.

I can see going MTM thru neiman marcus, although my experiences don't lend much to your question as the ready to wear models fit me so well, the only MTM adjustments they recommend for me are slight sleeve shortening (done at the factory, to ensure functional sleeve buttons can be added later). Mostly, MTM at neiman marcus for me tends to be selecting a cloth from the books to get just the pattern or weight I'm looking for.

If you are going MTM, why Armani?? Why not a nice Zegna Milano model, Isaia, Oxxford Clothes, etc?

Epic bump, didn't feel like starting a new thread...

Thinking of getting a sports coat, pair of trousers, and possibly a suit at Neimans MTM event (15% off). The brand options run the gamut of Armani, Zegna, Tom Ford, Oxxford, Isaia, Brioni, Kiton...

I would like to join the Kiton club, bit might have to meet somewhere in the middle with Zegna, Brioni, or heck Tom Ford.

Does anyone have experience with NM made to measure program? Next to true bespoke, it looks like it should be a fun experience.

last two mtms from NM turned out really well-- both isaia, with softer shoulders than off the rack as I requested. if i were doing another made to measure from them, it would definitely be isaia; good cloths to choose from, options to customize, and price isn't way over the top.

Thanks you for the feedback, what kind of shoulder does Isaia make? In comparison to Zegna or Brioni...

I'm pretty excited about it, as this would be my first MTM, everything else has been OTR with some tailoring.

they will do a softer shoulder than zegna or brioni, but you have to request one softer than the off the rack model. will also do a completely unpadded version, which might be more unique for a suit / more typical of a sportcoat. i really like that one a lot on the sportcoat i purchased a while back, altho the shoulder needs to be pressed and settle a bit more/ still brand new.

you might want to go thru photos from the blog website with the isaia lapel pins, see which style you like best to show when ordering; dunno if my photos below will be of any help to you (suit has softer-than off the rack shoulders, jacket is the softest model they do, to my knowledge)
