MTM in DC?

I've searched the forums and got some ideas, but I wanted to see if there was a consensus on this. My dad wants a MTM suit. He's ok at about the $1,000 price point, and he's never had anything other than Sym's suits altered by the dry cleaner.

My initial suggestions (to talk to BB or someone equivalent) were rebuffed, as he perceives such stores to be stuffy. Here in New york, I'd just take him to Mr. Ned. Is there an equivalent in DC?
