One would endeavour to know, in any degree of certainity, where poster and member MrSmith2U has gone.

Indeed, one would be presumptuous to send out this message despite any inclinations of anxiety on one's part; however, it should be in one's concern when a fellow of compelling disposition should be not present.

Therein, it would be in one's most honorable intentions to enquire in a faithful and frank manner whither all is well; or if present conditions are as unpleasant as dining with a stuffed owl.

According to his GPS coordinates, he's situated in the Swiss alps. That explains it.

One would be inclined then, to believe that Mr.Smith is pursuing le ski. And, another pesumption one would be impelled to put forth is whether or not he is visiting Hans Castrop? It is in apparent circumstances, that a slight tribute should be at less than a typists' hand away--I shall conduct a small textual praise.

I always had the feeling Smith translated his German ideas through a circa-1920's proper gentlemanly British grammar book. I simply can't imagine anyone today speaking at speed with such archaic diction and prose.

One simply can't imagine anything less than what is quite proper for the sirs and madams of the international lands, lest one becomes stranded in the lands of the un-occident.

Namely, dear sir, that a proper British man only mixes with an Irish drinking companion when firstly this Irishman is of some peerage, and secondly, when one has to alleviate the tedium of one's unflattering wife. Whether or not he is as Irish as Irish Spring bodily soaps is rather beyond the question of the day.
