I've been watching a lot of Mr. Bean on the tube, and besides being an amazing actor, has anyone noticed how well dressed Rowan Atkinson is when he plays Bean?

The things SF makes you notice...

Always seemed to me like he wore really old stuff that, in real life, would smell kind of funky.

I do not "get" the whole Mr. Bean thing.

While I find some of the Mr. Bean material amusing, it can't - for me, at least - hold a candle to Rowan Atkinson's Blackadder series.

I love the Teddy bits. Also, there was an episode where Mr.Bean intones "Christmas socks" which was decidely amusing.

Used to watch Mr. Bean regularly back in the 90s. Then they brought out the movie, with Burt Reynolds and how he ruined "Whistler's Mother", and he talked in the final scene. They ruined it for me.

RA was brilliant as Blackadder but then he had a lot of help from Tony Robinson and Hugh Laurie, Baldrick and Percy. RA's subsequent efforts have paled in comparison.

True, but considering the caliber of BA, it would be hard for him to live up to it, much less surpass it.
