Moving / Reinstalling Snap Buttons on Shirts

I have a casual shirt that has snap button closure at the shirt sleeve. But my wrist are not very big so the shirt sleeve keep sliding down too far. Would I be able to remove the snap button and then move it so that the sleeve will not slide past my wrist in the future? I have done this to sew buttons on shirt but no idea if the snap buttons can be reinstalling after forcefully removed?

I think these are usually riveted in place, so there would be a hole where you removed the button.

Yes there will be a hole there if I pull the snap button out and move it. The hole will not be seen since it is hidden when the sleeve is closed though. I will also have to make a hole in the sleeve to snap the button in when I move it.

The process should be quite simple, but I'm afraid to get started until I know for sure if the snap button can be pulled opened and then reused again.

I think you would need a new snap and the riveting tool. Both can be found online.

I don't think those snaps are typically reattachable.
I'd try to find some that are compatible and just add them and leave the orginals in place so as not to have holes.

^ I don't think they're reusable either. Your idea to leave the originals in place and add new ones sounds good to me. You might be able to find the snaps and tools on your own through somewhere like Tandy Leather, or you could just go to a local seamstress or cobbler. I wanted rivets replaced on a belt and my local cobbler had them.
