To make a long problem short: I am slim, and at 5'-7" I am forced to wear a size 36S thus I am forced to purchase 38S and then have them completely re-cut to fit me. Unfortunately, even 38S is becoming harder and harder to find, and most items I now find are 38R.
Now, if my tailor hems the bottom of a 38R to fit me, then what occurs is that the lower pockets become ill proportioned to the rest of the suit, especially flap pockets. Is it possible for flap pockets to be moved higher, as to reposition them into proportion with the rest of the suit? Alas, I can imagine that a mark will be left from the original pocket opening, but the flap would cover it up; unless if I insert anything into the pocket, then the stitching of the closed original pocket would be visible, but seeing as I never utilize the pockets, I do not see a problem regarding that particular bump in the road.
Jon.
P.S. If I'm not explaining this correctly let me know and I'll post pics of what I mean.
