Freedomland! This has to be among the worst movies I've seen in my life. We started to leave 3 or 4 times, but stuck around just thinking (hoping?) it would get better. It didn't.

It had a decent cast - Samuel Jackson, Julianne Moore, Edie Falco, Ron Eldard - but was just NOT well put-together. Never did "gel".

    jill,
freedomland got terrible reviews from everyone. it looked terrible in the commercials. i hope it was chuck who picked the movie.[IMG]

LOL. It was! Thank God, or I'd never hear the end of it. Then again, I picked the last stinker we saw, Punch-Drunk Love.

I thot I would since it is loosely based on the life of the pudding guy (who is nigh unto diety on my other favorite forum - Flyertalk.com) Being a points/miles whore myself, I can relate. But it was such a small part of the picture, I quickly grew weary of Sandler's whining.

King Kong (2005) was the biggest waste of 3+ hours known to mankind. The "Jurassic Park" interlude (and the entire 1.5 hours spent on Skull Island) was ponderous, at best. Jack Black sucked, Adrian Brody was hopelessly miscast and Ms. Watts, however beautiful, couldn't begin to save this flea ridden dog.
i thought it was ok, but there was just too much of it. if they got it in under say 100 mins, then i would have enjoyed it in a mindless-big-n-noisy-movie kind of way

That's a shame; it was an excellent book.

Paycheck, actually anything Ben Affleck is in. Ditto Asshton Kutcher. Sat through Man of the House (Tommy Lee Jones and cheerleaders) the other day at home. The movie is horrendous but the cheerleaders are hot so they sucked me in.

Slingblade with Billy Bob Thorton. Just stupid.

Gee, an action movie about the UN. I could have told you that that was going to suck.

Clearly, you never saw Art of War. Pure cinematic mastwork.

The Brothers Grimm. not even the beauty of Monica Bellucci could save this one. I fast forwarded on DVD, and it was still too long.
Speaking of Monica Bellucci has anyone seen "Irreversible"?

I'll add Forrest Gump. How I hated that film. (Odd, as I like both Sinese and Hanks.)
