After taking a few months to recover from a careless driver totalling my last bike (and almost me along with it) earlier in the year, I'm back on two wheels.

2016 Triumph America.
Office chair on wheels.
Let's see how long I last at leaving it the way I got it...
Definitely need more pics!

In looking for an electric alternative to a 2-stroke trail dirt bike I recently came across the Sur Ron. It's sort of a cross between a mountain bike and a dirt bike, and it looks like way too much fun. I haven't made a dollar since a tornado wiped my job off of the electrical grid, but I want one of these so bad I've started looking around my house for things to sell.

Anyway, @emptym , I remember you were looking at commuter e-bikes, and posted something really expensive (Cake Kalk maybe?). Check out the Sur Ron out. It's around $3400 (although I see a lot of these on Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace in California), and you can get ~50mph and ~50 miles of range out of an upgraded battery/controller. These can apparently be made street legal in California with very little effort.

Nice bikes! I had an Iron 883 about 10 years ago and loved it, but traded it up for a Forty-Eight. I've got a Sportie 72 and big twin in my garage these days also.

I just ticked over the 600mi mark on my Ducati Scrambler. Off to the dealer to get the initial inspection/service. I will drop it off in the morning and should have it back same-day.

Is that the 400?

Oooh, I hadn't been paying attention and didn't realize they had both bumped up to a 400 AND brought a naked version to the US

I'm still not in the market, but I admit it would be kind of fun to follow up my 70s Kawasaki kz400 with a modern Kawasaki z400

Wonder how it compares to the Honda CB500f naked bike? And if the z would feel too small to me at 6'2

KZ400 makes 35 hp & 2.5 ft/lbs (this can't be right) and weighs 375 lbs
vs
Z400 which makes 43 hp & 25 ft/lbs of torque and weighs 364 lbs

Well...and it is pretty unlikely that my KZ400 was actually still making 35.

But I mean, even a ninja 250 would have been faster than a small displacement 70s gas crisis bike!
