1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Bug eye+ screen> single > bug eye > double.

From a design standpoint, round lights don't work with the re-designed body work of the modern Street Triple.

Pre 2012, the body had much more rounded detailing.

Smooth swooping lines, bulging round pipes, round mirrors... It was perfectly cohesive.

But then they changed the design, introducing sharper, more acute angular details.

To put two circles in a sea of trapezoids, triangles and jagged ice would be like asking Thor to throw boulders instead of lightning bolts.

Sure, maybe it'd work out. He could handle it. And it's easier for mere mortals to understand tossing a big rock than some next-level etherial matter. But goddamn it, it's just what's right.

Just not a fan of the single-light design on these bikes. That's really something that looks better on a Duc..

One of the reasons I grabbed my SV is because it had a single light. I like the little bit of retro flair.

They've really changed around how you option the Cross Country for 2016. Not sure I like it and the paint job I wanted is not being offered.

So you save money by buying last year's model?

The soonest I'm going to be ready to buy will be 2017. If there's a '15 hanging around I'll jump on it. Seems that Victory, and I wonder if some other brands too, have problem turning all their stock during the model year. I've seen new 13s in dealer inventory.

Triumph's website is the worst. But those prices you posted are crazy.. why buy new when you can buy a bike with <1000 miles on it for almost half off?

I noted that about Triumph's site months ago and completely agree. Who the eff designed that piece of crap?

The feel of an engine/bike you broke in yourself... that is one with your habits...that you intend to not sell for the foreseeable future and run into the ground....

It's like why would someone buy a brand new pair of Aldens for $700 if you can find them used for $300 on eBay. Well that cork in the footbed... it has shaped to someone ELSE's feet...

I don't know. I wouldn't ever buy used shoes, but I bought a used bike that was ~5 years old and had ~5k miles. <1000 miles isn't even through the break-in period.
