Over here, scooters are for pizza delivery.
That's cool. It's just more practical for me right now. I''ll be doing mostly city riding and here in TO, I can park a scooter on the sidewalk for free and just walk away. Insurance will be cheap as well.
A bike is still in my future....most likely a cafe racer rebuild but I think I need at least a year of some form of ridership under my belt for insurance purposes.
The last few days..
Any experience or thoughts with Tuscano Urbano jackets?
Long jacket suitable for use all year round
Breathable and waterproof outer shell made from Polyamide
Inner lining made from Polyester
Removable winter padding made from Polyester
Reflective safety band on the neck
Removable CE approved elbow and shoulder armour
Ergonomic hood, folds into the neck
6 outer pockets, 2 inside pockets for carrying documents
Around $250 or so.
None, sorry. If I wear a jacket at all, I usually stick with leather (personal preference) but I also have a Belstaff or two for wet weather. I like the look though, but I'd probably bite the bullet and get a Roadmaster or Trialmaster.
I got a Frank thomas jacket in a Barbor International inspired style. It's dirt cheap, but does the job really good. No hood though. Why would you need a hood??
I got my new bike today - a Buell Lightning XB9SX. It was my first time riding in probably 2 or 3 years. Man, I forgot how fun that is.
Took mine into storage this weekend.
Congratulations. How do you like it so far?
Sucks dude. I clocked 300+ miles on my Fat Boy Lo (gratuitous pic below) around the Smokies and hope to ride until at least Thanksgiving.. Did you get out much this summer?
Sadly, no -- between my kids and all my drinking, rides were few and far between ...
Good. It has a Jardine exhaust, a Buell race chip, and K&N air filter on it. I put about 35 miles on this weekend - not much, but it is getting into the 40s and windy here, so I just tooled around town.
It is just fun to get on a bike again - unfortunately, I'll have a long winter of waiting now as they are forecasting snow Tuesday and Wednesday.
Nothing worse than buying a bike at the end of the riding season. I did that myself with a Street Bob that I rode a few hundred miles before having to store for the winter..
The prices are so much better now though!
I hear you. Got any pictures?
Rode the Norton to work today. 61 degrees and sunny!
