Does anyone have any suggestions on a good motorcycle jacket? My current one is boring and needs a replacement [doesn't match the bike anymore]. It doesn't have to be a aike jacket per say, just the cut needs to be right.

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you look into the Schott Perfecto. It was the original MC jacket worn by Brando in that movie. Try and get a vintage one on eBay.

Depending on whether you're looking for a jacket that you'll actually use while riding -- with room for shoulder, elbow, and lower back armor -- or simply a motorcycle style jacket, here's a link to a Schott website, that'll give you some ideas: http://www.schottnyc.com/motorcycle_jackets.cfm Additionally,Vanson Leathers has a decent selection of jackets, including ones made of long-wearing horsehide: http://vansonleathers.com/main_page/mens_leather2.htm

Thanks guys, Mitch the links were great [especially the second one]. Armour is not much of a question, as I hardly wear a jacket with amour [only when I get frustrated and go to release tension on the bike], what do you guys think of this jacket in black though? http://www.dunhill.com/collect....6f3ef2a

Thats's the infamous Dunhill 'glove' jacket. Pretty sweet. Price-tag to match, though: US$2700 or thereabouts...

yeah nick i know, the reason i'm interested is that an acquaintance of mine might be able to get it for me for ½ price. But I was wondering if [not with this jacket, certainly] it was possible to stretch the leather [mainly @ the elbows] to insert a lined shell with the amour inserts..? I just absolutely cannot find a nice Bike jacket w/ armor, but this may solve my woes and quiet down the g/f...

Any thoughts?

What is the difference between "Material: Deluxe Heavy Steerhide" and "Material: Naked Cowhide" on Schott website?

I have the reference 141 for 5 years (wear it almost every days) and would like te buy the 671 which seems to be the same with stripes but with a difference of material. What is your opinion?

Thanks

I think this is robbery and not for driving at all.
