I'm going to work for Bain Consulting and anticipate wearing the traditional consultant-wear: light blue shirts, light blue stripes, maybe some light blue checks

I'm thinking of getting 3 suit pants. At first I was thinking 3 different colors, but I think just mid-gray would look the best.

I have AE black and AE brown.

Mid Gray) http://www.howardyount.com/collections/wool-pants/products/four-season-super-100s-mid-gray
I think this is TOO light for a conservative work environment

Dark Gray) http://www.howardyount.com/collections/wool-pants/products/four-season-super-100s-dark-gray
Seems like I should just by all 3 of this color, what do you think? Could both brown and black shoes work here?

Charcoal) http://www.howardyount.com/collections/wool-pants/products/four-season-super-100s-charcoal
could I wear brown or black?

Navy) http://www.howardyount.com/collections/wool-pants/products/four-season-super-100s-navy
probably could only wear with brown shoes?

Grey and charcoal will complement light blue shirts.

All three will work, but the light grey pants and blue shirt is probably something I'd only wear in the summer.

This question interests me as well, as does saiyar1's comment. I live in San Diego, so we don't really have winter. Does the light grey work year-round in a more temperate climate?

By the way, congrats on the new job, OP!

They should all be fine.

Not to be an ass, but do you really feel the need to mention your consulting job in each of your posts?

I live in NY so it would probably look a bit odd to wear such tropical colors throughout winter. But in San Diego just wwar it yearround... I would.

And enjoy that weather you lucky bastard!

Thanks SF (a new me)
