I would honestly pledge my fealty to a man who straps a sundial to his arm.

The manliest watch is not a wristwatch, but a pocketwatch.

Be advised that actually wearing those huge watches that dwarf your wrists will make you look like a tool with weak wrists.

However, if you decide that manly means big and in your face, your local wal mart should have a nice selection of awesome chunky watches made out of an amazing material called 'low grade steel'.

Honestly, I feel that there is nothing more masculine than wearing a nice, smaller, vintage dresswatch with the same confidence as a Seamaster, Explorer or Ingenieur. I get the same feeling when I do it - the feeling of not having to "prove" something, not compensating, not bragging about. I like it.

Although i wear a Submariner, it's cousin the Rolex Sea Dweller (old style not the new DSSD) is a very manly yet elegantly understated watch.

Wanted one but my wrist just wasn't big enough for the more chunky Sea Dweller.
