Moreschi Sizing and Quality?

How do Moreschi shoes compare to AE or English-made (C&J?) Polos?

Does its sizing run about the same as the above brands, or like many Italian brands (for me), does it run large/loose?

I wear mostly AE and Moreschi because they both make a 7EEE that fits me well. Comparing a Moreschi loafer in 7W to a AE Glenfield loafer in 7EEE, the Moreschi is a touch wider and a touch shorter in the toe box. Of course, the scale of the AE is so much larger that they appear much bigger.

The Moreschi quality is good, with more hand work than AE. The leather is sometimes soft to the point of not being as durable at, e.g., the toe. The lining is typically kidskin rather than vegtable tanned calf as in AE. They are also of a different sole construction typically (I don't believe Moreschi makes as Goodear welted shoe). If I am walking long distances I wear AE (due to the thicker sole), and reserve the Moreschi for when I am mostly inside.

I like my Moreschi very much. They have quite thin soles which, I agree, are not as good when walking distances. But they hold up well. I wear them exclusively when it is raining, and they never miss a beat. I prefer a non-welted shoe in the rain.

Kid skin is the leather made from the skin of a kid (young goat, not those pesky neighborhood kids). It's soft, with a smooth finish, and has a bit of stretch. It seems common as a lining for purses and bags (my wife's older bottegas, for example).
