Interesting how the leather appears all cracked on the bespoke samples. I wonder why that is. Poor quality? Or is that on purpose? Could certainly use a good conditioning.

It is not the leather but the wax used and hence you could say it's the look. The leathers are first rate

Sleek indeed, one should be very careful not to cause an international scandal by accidentally crossing a border of sovereign nation with those elongated toes.

The coloring on the black shoes is very interesting.

I like the last one the most. The coloring on the toe is quite fetching.

Are these sold in USA? What's the retail of the brown/cordovan blucher (top shoe)? I think I like the stitch detail of the brown one more but the more traditional shape of the black one...fun! Is that really a different "mottled" color on the toe of the black or flash effect?

Of the bespoke pairs, I like the brown blucher. Very striking, and the leather has incredible character. The bal is eye-grabbing, but too much so to be elegant, defeating the purpose of a black bal in my mind. And without the antiquing, if you can call it that, the black crackle finish would look like too much like a pair of worn Stacy Adams. I'd like to see more pics of the toecap, though.

Do you think the toecap is sponged during the dying process? How is this effect created?
