Following up on last week's Neapolitan Denim Flamefest, I went out today to buy some jeans that would satisfy my requirements as an all around denim newbie, but without joining the gold neclace, hairy chest with a bimbo crowd.

I ended up with Capital E 501s, and would love to hear comments (good or bad) on that choice as far as looks, quality and usability for a non-denim guy.

Thanks.

I'm thinking or going with these as my first foray into 'raw/higher' whatever you want to call it denim.

Dior Homme
Japanese basic 21inch jeans -Dark blue Japanese basic 21inch jeans. A hook and eye fastening on the waist leads into a button down fly. Two pockets sit on either side just beneath the waistband. The legs fall straight to the ankle. Two pockets sit on either side on the back of the trouser.

And I like the shade of these Dior Hommes, somthing sophisticated and styish about the shade, very eye pleasing.

I also got my dark brown Borrelli brushed cotton jean today. Same cut as this Borrelli Jeans

I really like them, very nice brushed cotton, great dark brown color, picked up a pair of the zegna khaki jeans too. Great weight for summer and I like the color option, and also all very classic, non fashiony, styled jeans.

The Capital E line 501s are, iirc, one wash or raw? Anyway, good choice. Cap E is a good line and can't go wrong with that one - their 501 cut is a lot nicer than the standard Levi's 501.

Dior Homme 21cms are a great jean too. Really good if you're into slim cuts. They're particularly flattering jeans.

Sounds like you did good! I would also suggest checking out the APC and Rag & Bone selection at Rolo. They are very basic, conservative jeans, and very high quality.
