    new conspiracy theory:
    he (or the scientologists) hired those guys to victimize him, making him appear more sympathetic to fans who are on the fence about his recent antics.

    He should have decked the a$$hole. I'm no Tom Cruise fan but these morons that think they can just harass anyone they damn well please should be put in their place.

    I think he blew it when he got all sanctimonious about it afterwards, saying things like "I try to make people feel good, in whatever I do, and it's sad that there are people like that."

    Give me a break - you're not Mother Teresa and it was a practical joke. No need to get high on your horse.
