So I met this guy at a kids' birthday party this weekend. Very nice fellow. The usual parents chit-chat - we got to talking about fishing, vacation spots, etc. I figured out that he started a clothing company (?) called Monsoon which apparently now has a menswear line. I don't think they're in the US, but was wondering if anyone knew anything about them?

They're a presence on the UK high Street - I only found out they do menswear very recently. Its a fairly high end for the high street - good quality fabric, plain dark muted colours from my brief look around my local one a few weeks back..

Yes - traditionally quite an international / sub-continental themed women's outfitter here in the UK, but they've branched into menswear in the past few years. I'd hoped it would mirror the women's line (i.e. perhaps a funked-up and slightly cheaper alternative to Boden) but it's relatively anodyne. The only thing I've purchased so far is a cable-knit zip cardigan with a fat collar - nicely cut but it was £70 and has started to bobble badly after about a dozen wearings...

Didn't know they do a menswear range!

Their womenswear can be pretty cool occasionally.

Hmm, maybe I've been confusing price with quality again...
