I think it's a pretty cool look, especially the woman on the right.

The problem is, these broads aren't hot. Put this chick in monks and I'm in:

I expected more from this thread -- I think the issue is that neither has especially good style, the the one on the right does have a nice coat. Women who can pull off the men's shoe look perform a stylistic tour de force, and not every one can rock it.

+10! At the risk of a naive question, who is the babe with the sponge?

Meh. I don't know too many real females that go around all wet and gross like that on the street.

The girl on the left (sitting down) in the OP's post looks fantastic.

To confirm, you prefer the girl sitting on the park bench to the girl with the sponge?

She's holding a sponge. Hence a shower. Yeah - not on the street. But thanks.

I do, and I'll tell you why.

The girl with the sponge looks great, but my gut feeling is that she's about as real as the twinkie I ate for supper. I experience her as a product made to sell something or give me a boner (which she does very well, thank you).

The girl on the bench appears to be a real person, on the street, wearing (I assume) her own clothes. The photo gives me a profound sense of her style, which I find both classically American and subtly provocative. She is dressed artfully; as with an interesting piece of visual art, I find myself wondering what she is saying with her mode of dress.

I can look at pictures that don't differ fundamentally from that of the sponge girl all day; they're all over the internets. The girl on the bench looks unique to me. In fact, it was my favorite picture posted by the sartorialist this week.

Not sayin' I'm right... just sayin' what I find more interesting.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
