tittle says it all - anybody up for dim sum monday morning? I was supposed to be in Taipei but the weather changed my plans. I need somebody to eat all the chicken feet and tripe and shit, so I can pick out the choice bits.

Damn, I would have been all over that like a fat kid on a smartie, but I am not in HK until later in the year.

you all missed out, ended up taking a bunch of random street people just to fill up the table.....

no, actually just went with my regional sales manager, but had a really nice meal, we ended up throwing out about half the food, cause we wanted to try a lot of stuff. he's married to a hainanese lady, so he was pretty good at identifying what we wanted to eat.

Luk yu, I know there are better places, but it is old school, and if I am in town for 2 days I usually end up hitting a couple of classic places.

Their barbque pork pie is one of my all time fovorate foods - like a barbque pork filled donut

Is this similar to Char Siu Bao? Or is this different?

filling is, as far as I can see, identical. dough seems to be different, and then the whole fucker is deep fried. I've never seen it anyplace else, although to be honest I haven't made a study of it.

I'm chinese and I hate Char Siu Bao. Har Gow is where it's at. And spring rolls with Worcestershire Sauce. Baby octopus is good too.

Congee with preserved egg and pig blood is great too.
