1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Its nicer than standard N&F, but they dont use the 15.7oz Zimbabwe denim. I had a pair I returned, as the front and rear rise *ARE NOT* the same as a N&F weird guy. The rear rise was a lot longer (ie: more than an inch), and the front rise was much shorter (ie: probably one inch). It didnt work for me.

I am pretty sure I posted about it in this thread, and I might have listed actual measurements I took at the time. IIRC a 32, which I wear in N&F weird guys, was not tight on the initial wear of the collabos' in the waist either. Dont quote me on that though. But the rear rise was the real issue. My ass was swimming in them.

    Thanks for the reply.

I think i'll bite the bullet and buy it at retail. I'm hoping they have the 0201 Vintage label (unsanforized)

Not sure about sizing, but when trying on the jeans -what should it feel like?

Should it feel tight around the waist and thigh so that it will stretch? or should it be relaxed and comfortable?
Should it be so tight that I can't button the top button?

I picked up these Going to Battle Tight Straight 0705SP's from Goodhood for half prie the other day http://goodhoodstore.com/?page=51&id=1524&type=mens. Am I right in thinking that since they've been washed once that I shouldn't expect in shrinkage and can go ahead and get them chain stitched?

    Thanks

There should be a little shrinkage left, though not much. This is because of the fact the fabric has been washed cold. Hot washing yields better results regarding shrinkage.

    Something else: 0701, soaked once

Thanks Mistral. From what I've been reading a 34 may be the way to go.

After much searching on this thread, I believe the general census is for vintage labels (unsanforized), is to go TTS or TTS-1.

I measured my best fitting jeans: 32" waist, and 11" thigh. What size should I go for?

Cheers, I'll bear that in mind. I'll maybe leave an extra half inch or so if I decide to get them hemmed before washing them.

Damn, I just realize that 702 days is a just a month or two away from 2 years. That's gonna take some commitment.

I'm looking forward to it though. Good reason to wear the damn pair (I find it hard to match clothes with the uberdark indigo tones in the jeans).

I'm going to wear them as often as possible. I think they look marvellous when trashed properly. *Points finger to Satchelbmoore's pair*
