    @ b_F:

This same discussion has been going on on SuFu. Rob from Okiya said this about it... And it seems an appropriate description compared to the arguments I gave in the Japan Blue Momotaro thread over there...

I just ordered a pair by the way, from Jay....He was the first to stock it and he's reasonably cheap if you compare USD to EUR (if customs aren't going to touch it).

Want me to drop some pics when they arrve?

of course I want you too :)
whether on MN, Sufu or here.

but I still think calling that natural indigo is misleading. '100% indigo' or just 'pure indigo' would be better terms

    True...

I also think calling it natural indigo is somewhat misleading. But I guess we all know better.

Received the 0702 from Blue Owl today (thanks Jay!)...and on first impression I'm really blown away by this "deep indigo" denim. It's definitely a darker hue than the "grand indigo", in fact they almost look black. The pics on the Blue Owl blog really capture the color difference well. I definitely think these are going to be amazing broken in.

Regarding sizing, I'm a 34 in both of my other Momo's -- the Context collabs (which were raw), and the 0705SP (where were sanforized). I went with a 33 in the 0702, and the fit is spot in. Really tight in the waist (I could just barely get them buttoned), but good everywhere else. The fit actually seems similar to the 0705SP.

I'm gonna soak them tonight and then I'll try to put up some fit pics this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing some fit pics as well. Glad to hear you like the denim!

...and thank you for adding the link to our blog. I have been meaning to adding some photos here to show the difference, just been too busy to do it.

I've been a PBJ holdout (having dabbled w/ Momos before), but those 702s look like they could displace my xx009s as quintessential jean of jeans.

I'd been wanting the 201, but sizing up one in the 702 is just about the same measurements. Fit pics please when any of y'all get a chance.

Here are two quick fit pics of the 0702. This is the first wearing post-soak, so they're still pretty stiff. I did a cold soak for 1 hour, and if there was any shrinkage, it was not significant. Really happy with the fit overall. I'll be curious to see how much they stretch; I'm not expecting much since my other Momos didn't stretch much at all, but if I can get ~ 1/2" in the waist that would be nice.
