The problem is that I prefer jeans with a higher rise than this Momo. As such I am always pulling up my jeans ...

..... When I got them 2 months back I found them too tight around the thighs and since Momos are not expected to stretch much especially around the thighs I tried selling them but could not find a buyer. Now I seem to have lost some weight and I feel it fits perfect except that I would prefer .5"-1" higher rise both back and front.

..... I am a 33 year old married man with kid and a belly so my definition of good fit and rise is at variance with other posters who are a different stage in life and / or have different bodies. Hope you understand.

esthetically, the [midrise] fit is just fine on you, imo. but, if your not happy with the [feel of] cut, then the higher rised Momo 201s would be a your thing__ it'd be roomier @the tighs, tho'. [eg., Fullcount 1108s would have a bit higher rise than the 701s, but similar 66 fit elsewhere]

yea, i tried both 201 & 701 [@BiG] a few times. initially. i was leaning towards the 201s, but could not make an outright decision @the time. i dint want it to be an impluse buy, so i deferred.

good thing [IMG] __ cuz i realized i got enough '47s & 50s cut right now, and i have had such a fantastic time with the FC 1108C that i want a similar cut [but different denim] for my next pair and 701s fit the bill.

Man, I just got my first pair of Momo 701's, and they do not fit like the measurements. I measured multiple pairs of jeans after stretching, used the Context and BiG measurements, made my decision, and went with a 30 (regular pant size). I could not get past the first button on the fly done up. Gotta size up to a 32 and exchange them. Wow. Awesome quality though, can't wait to get a proper fitting pair.

I read up on the earlier posts before purchasing, and spoke to BiG and Context on sizing and what I wear and measure of other jeans, and a 30 or even 31 was recommended but 32 is what I'll need. Either way it'll be settled nicely.

I ordered 0201 in size 32 yesterday from BiG and he informed me that the waist is actually 1/2 inch smaller than listed on his site...so a 33.5 i believe not a 34

I agree with that, actually. The one pair I bought from BiG was a little bit smaller in the waist than what was indicated on the site. The rest of the measurements were spot on, though.

Email from BiG prior to shipping Hi A****, Also wanted to let you know the pair of Momotaro size 34 0703/0705SP we have is a measured 34” waist, the website says 35” but this pair is a little smaller, just wanted to make sure if this was ok. Regards, Gordon

The waist will stretch a little, more without a belt. This is over time of course, and they'll shrink again when you wash them. Mine are pretty snug after they are washed, but soon are very comfortable, but not loose at all. I have the 0201.

I like 'em IIIrd. the fit doesn't look nearly as slim as many of the 007 fit pics that I have seen.
tnx. i TTSed on my 007 @W33 & SU1 on the 701__ had my share of [sizing down] fiascos in the past. i'd like to focus my effort on "priming" them & not worry about if they're [still] gonna fit after the wash. i hate putting all that work just for them to end up @the market.

thinking about getting my 0201's slightly tapered from the knee down. the hem is pretty big and kinda looks like its trying to eat up my sneakers. anyone think this is a bad idea?

^ Morgan recently pulled off a fine alteration on some Eternals. Check the how do you rock 'em thread, and proceed with caution (or cut your losses and try the 701s?)

My 0201s arrived today, FedEx direct from Nagano. [IMG]

The denim, stitching and attention to detail are quite amazing. My previous raw denim experience being limited to APC and Dior, there is no comparison (as if that needed saying). I bought TTS and although I have only had time to try them on quickly they seemed a l-i-i-i-i-ttle snugger than I was expecting pre-soak. That might have something to do with the fact that they are stiff and heavily starched though.

Right now they fit they way I am hoping they will eventually fit in the waist, and a little bigger everywhere else. So with post-soak shrinkage, followed by ~1" of stretch in the waist (and with a little luck) they should be good.
