Hey guys just washed my Momo's and noticed wear on the inner thigh of my jeans...at the seam where the denim is rolled the top of the roll has started to wear through. I know the earlier the better when it comes to denim repairs so I figured I'd ask you guys for some opinions on if they need some attention now or if I am being paranoid. From the picture just let me know what you think. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, and at times, they get washed. Life goes on. Your jeans look fine.

Thanks. But the difference between no wash and first or second is pretty pronounced. Kind of odd to hear someone suggest otherwise. 702's have really nice color and heavy indigo (see the contest thread). Plus when you wash them you lose the form & ridges in the body of the jeans, particularly the whiskers in the back of the knee. If you want your jeans to look like gap dad jeans that's cool, but I don't think you're going to get the kind of high-definition fades that I'm personally looking for when buying an expensive jean like momotaros.

They're fine unless the stitching really starts to come away or you start to wear through on the other side of the stitching.

The difference between how fast fades set-in and/or develop after no wash, the first, and the second wash is pronounced. The difference between your jeans right before and after you do those washes is not.

They actually don't look bad. But the wash did progress them more than I would like, and the denim is now getting streaky. This is with about 9 months of part-time wear, one careful wash (2 weeks ago) and one uncaring wife wash (yesterday).

I feel one step closer to only being able to talk to people on the Internet. Thanks, styleforum! :paranoia:
It happens bro, we just learn to accept it. :)
I don't see how a wash would really do that much -- a huge majority of indigo loss is from wear, not being in a washing machine.
DO YOU EVEN WEAR JEANS?
+1
Luckily my wife knows raw denim, as well as their price. It saves me the ''wife-washing-the-denim" experience. But here are group meetings out there you for these things you know. ''Hi, my name is meso and my wife washes my denim''. LOL
lolololololol Hi my name is meso and my wife complains because I spend too much time online on a mens fashion forum.

Just so you know, these aren't 702s, but rather Grand Indigos... 702 don't have Japan Blue printed across the waistband.

God dammit, my wife washed my 0702s. Now they look like some **** you would buy at the gap. At least she didn't put them in the dryer. But no more wife washing anything of mine that is non-dryer. I am pissed. Wife offered to replace them, but that would require she find out how much they cost.
Ever have one of those mornings of complete gender reversal? My wife ***** up my clothing, offers a lame apology, texts me that she will buy a new pair... these are complete dude moves. I KNOW THOSE MOVES.

I feel you. But it's not my wife who wash my jeans but my mom. She find it wearing it for more than a week is too dirty and secretly wash my denim. Now I just hide my 0702 to prevent her from washing.

Just got 2 Momotaro Chambray workshirts (red and black) today from http://www.and-japan.com/. I tried to get both at the Momotaro store in Aoyama Tokyo in October but they didnt have any without the stripes on the sleeve. Fit is probably the best ive ever had for a button up shirt. Both are awesome looking and well put together. Plus they were cheaper on and-japan they they were at the Momo store. And there was free FedEx shipping too.
