This my friend, has nothing to do with the cotton itself. It al comes down to the tightness of the weave. Momotaro's are known for having a tight weave, it is not characteristic for Zim cotton.

But they don't stretch much, that's true.

Thank you, I am going TTS then.
Thanks, I read it is around 1" so that's not a big deal.
Thank you, then I will go TTS as mentoined above.

My final question, how about hot soaking? Just hot water in a bath tube without anything else? Besides the jeans ofcourse.

The comment DXB gave is another fit/cut. Though TTS on the 0201 is about the safest thing you can do.

Onto the soaking. Fill a bucket or tub with lukewarm or hot water (depending on how much shrinkage you want). Hot as in, hottest water from tap at maximum. Anything hotter will surely do damage to the leather patch.
Stick the jeans into the bucket/tub. Leave them for about half an hour till one hour and agitate them lightly. This will make sure the cottonfibers will fully absorb the water and provides "even" shrinkage along the process. Take them out and hang them to dry.

You could opt for wearing them when damp (when they are almost dry). This way you can stretch the denim a bit and also set some creases. This is optional though and I mostly don't do it because it can cause stretch at unwanted areas. Kneebags for instance.

Hehe. Well, we all know a bit about Momotaro here. Toghether we know it all ;)

Arcs as seen on the BOM4 are normally only seen on Euro Label and Copper Label. Grand Indigo is part of Euro Label.
Euro Label sports tab and arcuate, while Copper Label only features the arcuate. Male models on Copper Label line feature the riveted leather patch, women models don't. Vintage Label features only tab, just like GTB (along with the battlestripes offcourse). Not even mentioning the 0202 and 0702... Those lack tab, arcs and GTB stripes.

Does it make sense? No, not really.

It might just be that the Owl is sitting next to a peach instead of a moon ;)
