I bought this Hugo Boss Pasolini/Movie suit in navy pinstripe....and now I'm not sure I'm 'feeling' it anymore. Can anyone suggest some shirt & tie combos to make the look a little more modern? I'm guessing brown shoes as well?

The jacket appears to have a relatively modern cut so a slimmer tie would work. Anywhere from 3-3.25" would seem fine. Get a plain white shirt or a shirt with a subtle stripe. Gray or navy ties would work fine.

Maybe so, but he can make it look nice. How about a very light blue shirt and a bold paisley tie?

I like really saturated blue monochrome. Try a really rich blue shirt and a navy tie.

    Red tie that.

    And consider burgundy shoes.
