Hello, I’m getting married in the South (USA) in November. I’m looking for a new tuxedo and looking for recommendations. I’m 30 yrs old, 5’8, 150-155 lbs, with an athletic build. For OTR suits I typically go with a 38S, though sometimes find a short is too short for my liking. I’ve done a number of Hickey Freeman MTM which is cut much more modern than their traditional suits and I really like them, just trying to work on the budget a bit. I tried on an Ermenegildo Zegna 38S that fit nearly perfectly (just need to taper around the waist a bit) but the price was over $3K.

I definitely want the tuxedo to be a classic look but also compliment an athletic build.

Open for recommendations.

Goodness, there’s absolutely no reason to be thinking about spending that much. Kent Wang or SuitSupply.

Eidos via No Man Walks Alone, you can even buy as separates.
Jacket = $1495
Trousers = $345
Other black tie accoutrements you're on your own.

A member @Newcomer has a really great thread on his bespoke experiences, one of which is for his wedding tux; though, I doubt you'd have enough time to go the bespoke route. Good luck.

Oddly enough I would try eBay. Because tux’s have a limited usefulness they aren’t worth diddly in the resale market

For instance their is a nice Brooks Brothers Martin Greenfield tailored tux in my size that has been up for about three months for $99 and now is $75 in almost perfect condition. Yet no takers but if this was a navy suit it would have doubled that and gone in a week
