Johnny Kidd and the Pirates were great. My Dad liked them. The Pirates, who continued well into the ‘70s without Kidd(RIP), were an excellent band, too.

I wonder if COVID will be the death knell of all actual subcultures, or if people will come out of this with a greater willingness to coalesce with their respective interest groups, and thus strengthen aforementioned subcults.
Yeah I’ve seen this debated quite a bit. Will people be so used to sitting home in their sweat pants they’ll cut off any desire to get dressed? Or will they be so sick of slumming it that they’ll up their game once Society reopens and be eager to revive their interest in decent threads and rededicate their interest?
I never make predictions - and I never will - so it’s hard to know which way things will go.

Is there a source around with various features of trucker jackets which give a clue to their age. I bought a second hand Wrangler a few years ago and I would be interested in how old it is.

Not that this will be much help, but I Once bought a circa-1970 Levi type three Trucker off eBay. I looked at various search engines and found some site dedicated to “carbon” dating denim jackets. I believe that if you look inside either the left or right breast pocket, there should be a union label sewn in which might indicate a ballpark era.

Post a pic of exterior and interior and I'll see if I can tell you

Very kind of you. My guess is that it isn’t too old and was perhaps originally bought in the Czech Republic or a neighbour. I do wonder whether it had been reduced at some point.

There is a great site I found dating Levi, wrangler jeans and jackets. I replied with link to donkey jacket quite a long time ago, so it's on here somewhere. But I think ivy has answered your query anyway.
