Just noticed this fella in the background of the airport scene in From Russia With Love.

Pretty interesting necktie for '63

At times in the 60s people wore them like that, bringing the broad piece of the tie over but not slipping it through the knot.

I wouldn't be against this thread turning into a classic movie/tv birds thread
Yeah , l think birds looked better back in the day , you tend to see it in the old photos on here too , there is almost always a sexy young woman in the pics . .

Women show off too much these days doesn't leave much to the imagination, I think there is the concept where dressing too provocatively has the opposite effect then intended.

Disagree!
First I’m an admirer of the female form so I’m fine with ‘provocative’ dressing as long as what’s beneath is attractive. But I don’t think too much is revealed these days. Watch a show like Mad Men (yes of course it was made recently but the costuming was painstakingly period-accurate) and girls in the office in the later seasons around 1968-9 were wearing mini dresses that barely covered their bums. I don’t see any of that going on in the workplace these days and I doubt it would be allowed. Can’t speak to what lasses wear ‘out on the town’ as sadly that’s no longer a regular venue for me. I suppose you could make your case if it’s illustrated by pics of ladies’ day at Aintree or whatever.

To me a lot of women dont dress like women anymore, there is that look whereby they combine those tight black leggings with a big pair of black DM's , l call it the Max Wall look because that's what it reminds me of. .maybe some sort of androgynous thing. .
