1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I meant too early in the morning - before my second cup of Earl Grey!

But talk about an almighty cock-up!

Lovely, Monsieur! Sounds like a bargain. Prince Philip tends to favour Lobb bespoke I gather!

Picked up these new PoW trouies from an ebay shop called scooterboy(Kookskleek). Quite a few nice items on there. They were 'auction' rather than 'buy it now'. I was expecting the item's price to go up to just under the 'buy it now' price of the other trousers for sale at scooterboy. I put in a decent maximum bid. I like a bargain, I'm not a cheapskate. I was expecting a flurry of bids in the last seconds of the auction (as is usual). There wasn't. I got them for £1.24 (plus £3.80 p+p)
Considering what my maximum bid was, and what I was actually prepared to pay, I feel pretty bad.
Even if I were to catch a train up West and steal a pair of strides, it'd cost me more than a fiver.

My daughter just snapped me on her phone and immediately Facebooked the result. Unfortunately I'm gurning. We were all getting ready to go to her graduation ceremony in Glasgow - if I had been asked to pose I wouldn't have been standing in front of a load of plastic boxes!

The jacket, by the way, is a 3-button blazer by Pakeman Catto & Carter.
