Well talking of spending money.........My name isn't Cinderella, but if it was I would splash out the $300 asking price for these Florsheim Royal Imperial Shell Cordovans.Original MINT US production. These are IMO the best of the original double sole brogues ever made and on a classic, timeless last. These are 500 quid + shoes today.

"Did you go to any of the clubs in London?
No, I didn’t. Some of the people from the Whiskey-A-Go-Go went. I always preferred Manchester to be quite honest. Having been there, you don’t tend to change your habits; like watching a football team. Certainly the travelling; and the uniqueness was key. It was a day out. You’d go out with a change of clothes. Certainly, at the Twisted Wheel, one of the things that we did do in Birmingham, was take up mohair suits to the Twisted Wheel. People used to go in casual clothes so we would wear mohair suits and ties, shirts. And you’d try to get up there with your suit in pristine condition. The looks we used to get, from people who were dressed casually, were amazing! You’d go up with your jeans on and change into your suit for the all-nighter. And then change back into your casual clothes to come home."

    Back in the day:

    1. Stone.
    2. An American sport shirt bought in Brewer Street. It was short-sleeved, light blue, with a yellow window-pane check.
3a. If you're talking about Harringtons only, then my pea-soup-green one, same colour as Danny Eccles wears in those video clip[s (I think).
3b. Other than Harrington, then I had a PoW check, 3-button jacket, in which I considered myself the canine reproductive tackle.

    From my youth...

    1. Fave colour Levi Sta prest - light stone - classic and oh, so versatile.
    2. Light Blue/White/Maroon check BD Jaytex. (Yes, I had checked Ben Sherman's which carried more esteem, but that Jaytex was so me)
    3. Denim Levi Jacket - I wore it as a 15 year old Skinhead, I wore it as an 18 year old boot boy, I wore it as a 20 year old student and was still wearing it to go to work at the age of 23!

1 I thought back then I had a cream / off white as my favorite pair but they may have been stone

2 Oxford weave - wide stripe but I also liked the small check

3 Sheepskin - it was the pinnacle of the must haves

A couple of buts above and as Colin says - there was so much to choose from it is hard to pin down your favorites

Good call Flyfronted to get the thread talking
